I think they are called brigidini. And now I know why Bologna is nicknamed "La Grassa" - "The Fat One." Soon to be my nickname too...

However, I can testify that chocolate crisps hit our shores some years ago. You could get them in a tube. I can't remember what they were called though.
I dunno. Biscuits are quite like chocolate crisps to me - I certainly tend to eat them in the same way :(
