Happy New Year!

On Christmas Eve Kat challenged me to write an ode to Quorn frankfurters. Here it is - and well down to my usual standards, I think:

Quorn -
Never born,
Neither sown,
But grown
In a vat of slime.
Still - you taste fine.

:-)

I wish you all a happy new year, and a thousand good things for 2011. May it be better than 2010 for all of us!

Very Gollum-esque! Bilbo would have won with that one :)

Damn - vats of slime, eh? Boo.

I don't know Quorn, but I do know frankfurters.

Seems a fitting tribute.

Happy New Year!

I should try these. I love soy- and tofu-based veggie dogs.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Am most disappointed with the Gif - if you click on it, the big version is all sparkly ... yet Blogger seems to suppress the sparkle.
:-(

Still, on a happy note the enormous water leak in the main road seems to be fixed now, so at least we can flush our toilets. A must for New Year, really!

Cheers, everyone!

I've had this disappointment before, with sparkly cakes and hopping bunnies doing neither. Blogger is joyless. I clicked though! Tasteful :)

I crown thee Queen of Quorn, Janine. Hope the stuffing was deliciously slimy. All the best for a sparkly and prosperous new year. I'm off to start getting ready for a neo-gothic/burlesque/circus/vampire/freak show/contortionist/rock-a-billy cabaret. What to wear?

Happy new year (and always) to you, Janine! I have experienced it as a delight and privilege to know you in 2010. :) Here's to 2011 and beyond!

A very happy new year to you, Janine.

Alas, I am allergic to Quorn, or Quorn-intolerant, or something like that. Love the poem, though!

How lovely to hear from you all! Though it's half past five and I've just made it online ... The house is full of half-eaten food, the TV remote has vanished, and I need an early night already. I had a lovely new year's eve, though probably a bit staid compared to your neo-gothic/burlesque/circus/vampire/freak show/contortionist/rock-a-billy cabaret, Kat!

Tomorrow the new year really begins...

Thanks, Janine. If it's worse than 2010, my will's in the sock drawer.
