I hasten to correct your label for this post, "not working."
Keeping in a good frame of mind is as essential as the writing. So I say "good work!"
Good woman! So you WILL eat cake? I debated bringing you cupcakes, but Ryanair sadly will not allow it.
oh that sounds great..would have love dto come along:-)
and..i agree with craig..THAT is work..:-)
I've been in a bit of a slump too, but meeting up has certainly improved my mood. Great company, and I love that pub. It's such a fantastic building.
Madelynne, it's just the loveliest building! Thank you for introducing me to it!
I wish you guys could have been there too, Craig and Danielle and Jo. It would have been awesome! And I ate cake and drank beer Jo. How bad is that? - Though obviously not as naughty as your cupcakes, which are clearly under some sort of international ban ;-)
The meeting reminded me I'm still a writer, among other cheerful things. I've done so little creative work over the last couple of months because of the builders. Now I just want them to GO so I can get on with some proper work!
Hmm. I think you might well have builder's morass.
It's a known condition whereby your tolderance for having builders in your house and everything a mess and your normal routine and quietude disrupted suddenly is no more.
Blame it on the builders!
Debates joke about also 'having the painters in', but you did the painting yourself so it doesn't quite work*
I think you're probably quite right, Jo. My builder tolerance surprised me by lasting out 3 months! But it's the end bit when they say they'll be finished this week, and then things go wrong ... and it drags on ... and on ...
I had a lovely time as per usual with you (and Madelynne)! And I'm glad it's reminded you you're a writer. Because you are and you're orsum. I was dismayed when you said you hadn't been writing over last two months!
I need some Janine Ashbless!
(this is what I spend a lot of our meet ups doing, BTW. Trying to convince Janine and Madelynne that they're amazeballs. It's a tragedy that they so rarely believe me)
What would I do without you, Charlotte?
I'm very lucky to have such great writer friends!
