Eyecandy Monday
Well it's Shrove Tuesday this week, so here are some rather wonderful Carnival costume pics.

I was trying to describe an outfit like this to someone recently and I wasn't sure what to call those feather things. I went with "peacock fan" but it's not really a fan. And it's not quite wings either. What's the proper term a professional costume designer would use?
Good question! Well, on ebay they're described as "feather backpack" or "collar". They seem to be attached at the shoulder mostly. This is why a picture is worth a thousand words... ;-)
