Isn't that nice? I got it through the post on Thursday. Now that's how to treat your authors - they are poor skittish things, easily disheartened. Make them feel good!
Totally, Charlotte. I mean, it costs them next to nothing but makes a postive difference. That's good management. I've certainly been in a few non-writing jobs where some simple words of appreciation would have made all the difference...

I like it. You're right, Janine, it doesn't cost much but it takes a little time and thought and effort. That's what makes it special.
ps - re 'the other news' - I always knew you were on your way up, up, up to the stars. No surprise - except, of course - WHAT IS IT???
