Eyecandy Monday

I'm a pro-porn feminist. At the moment the anti-porn feminists in the USA, in unholy alliance with the anti-porn Christian Right, are causing a bit of a media storm. I want to recommend this article from Carnal Nation which strikes a personal chord with me: the writer is firmly on one side of the fence but understands the feelings of those on the other, because that is where she used to be. My journey was similar.

Awesome article. Thanks for pointing it out.

I also love the sexy photo.

Finally, your mention of the "Christian Right" reminds me of when such zealots called themselves "The Moral Majority" back in the eighties.

I saw a great bumper sticker at that time:

The Moral Majority is Neither.

Oh that IS a great bumper sticker.

Sigh. I wrote one of these type of thingies. I'd like to join in the discussion.

But Danielle is holding it hostage. All tied up and gagged in the back of the cupboard.

Hi Craig and Jo! This whole subject makes me very sad. Just when I thought we were actually making cultural progress toward a mature understanding of diverse sexuality, and finally grasping that women LIKE SEX and LIKE TO SEE SEX instead of it being a disgusting atavistic male obsession ... then this all blows up.

One step forward, two steps back...

Maybe animation's the way forward.

Then nobody can be said to be exploited or victimised.
