Lucy in Narnia

Poor Jo! She came over to visit me for a couple of days and now she is TRAPPED - in a land where it is forever winter and never Christmas! No flights out until the weekend, and now life goes on outside while she grows older in here...

I couldn't find a street lamp in a forest, but this is my garden bench:

I've never seen weather like this here. Never. We've had 8 inches of snow. In November. And I realise that that is feeble by the standards of continental Europe or the US of course, but it is astounding here.

And beautiful!

But now they're saying fuel is running out at the petrol stations. And the White Witch is coming to get us...

Janine offered me Turkish delight!

Ooh, I might come and get trapped with you guys, sounds fun! Except ... I'm snowed in too.

And fast running out of gingerbread men.

Apparently you are so cabin fevered you are offering yourselves Turkish delight?

That's what's so delightful about it.

Keep warm, everyone!

Jo signed in as me! Identity confusion! It must be the cabin fever!

Despite the circumstances, this is an absolutely delightful post!

I hope everyone is keeping warm.

I got up at 4am to drive Jo to the airport. It's 6.45am now and I'm sitting watching the "Live departures" online, just in case there's a last-minute cancellation and I have to do an emergency retrieval...

Let me know when you get home safely, Jo!

I'm afraid I'm just *bored* with the snow now. Day one was beautiful and magical. Day three was exciting and a bit anxiety provoking. Day five was troublesome and irritating. Now I'm just bored and I want it all to go away. Although if I can get the car moving, I'll be making snowmen in the garden with my nephew which may restore some of the pleasure.

Ah, Janine, you were meant to go back to sleep!

I don't know, Janine! That looks totally gorgeous. If I was going to be trapped anywhere (other than in bondage), it would be in snowy weather with smart, sexy erotica writers!

Oh Chris, I hope you had a lovely time rolling snowmen. :-)

Shanna, I was happy to be trapped with Jo! And it was so magical, walking out in the snow. Maybe we should all be trapped together more often.

Yikes, that's quite the dump*! Hope you're managing to stay warm and that everyone is hunkered down at home, safe and sound.

*That would be Canadian for 'whoa, that's a lot of snow, eh?'.

I'm assuming that that looks like a mild Spring day in Canada!
