Cold front
Actually I've still got the central heating on. In April. Either it's been a particularly cold Spring, or I'm getting old :-(
Hmm. We've had unseasonably warm weather this spring - though this morning there's been thunder and lightning and hail storm, a rain tornado, and a pub burned down. Apocalyptic day!
However, I would normally have my heating on into April. Just in the evenings, though.
Our new house has a hugely effective log-burning stove in the living room, and we've been given about a ton of fuel for it - spare wood that our friends have been trying to get rid of for ages. We barely use the central heating. In fact some evenings it's so warm here we barely need clothes..
Having come from the same sort of family as you, having turned my heating back on this month because I was cold made me question my very right to exist.
Hmm, maybe the cold there is why it's been so warm here!
ReplyDeleteHope it warms up for you soon...

I come from that kind of family where not having the heating on was regarded as "character building." So this is class betrayal ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys are enjoying warm weather though! And good luck with the Apocalypse, Jo!

ReplyDeleteOh that sounds nice, Fulani!
