USA Today

HOLY COW!! I couldn't wait untill Wednesday to post this!
My e-novel The King's Viper has had a great big mention (with picture!) in USA Today!

Raelene Gorlinsky, publisher at Ellora's Cave, says:
"The first and last chapters, which frame the story, sold me on the whole book when the author submitted it. It's a dark, angsty story. The hero starts out not very likable or admirable, but the reader comes to learn about him and his life as the heroine does so, and by the last chapter you'll love this tortured, honorable, loyal man."

I can't wait to meet you at last, now that you're going to be a Stateside literary rock star. See you in New York—if I can wriggle my way into your SRO crowd, that is!

  7. Yay!!

Here's a tidbit of rock 'n' roll lore: Someone told me a while back that according to Van Halen's David Lee Roth, that notorious M&Ms clause was actually a subtle way of testing how carefully a concert venue was reading the rider. If I have this right, they were very concerned about the structural integrity of their custom-built stages, what with the acrobatics, etc. They feared that if the catering was not compliant, the more important specs might also not have been honored.

  10. A friend of mine was once included in the rider for singer Tom Robinson. He asked for a "nice intelligent young man to have dinner with." My friend did wonder what he was letting himself in for, but it turned out to be all perfectly proper and pleasant :-)

  11. Hi Janine

I was checking out Ellora's Cave editors' blog yesterday (as a new writer I have found their blog very useful)when I saw the review.

My first thought was 'Wow, that's Janine's book!'

    Well done you.
