Sand Art
This one has been around for a while, but just in case you haven't seen it ... it's jaw-dropping. Completely wonderful. From Ukraine's Got Talent, I believe. Bonus point to anyone recognising the Apocalyptica version of Nothing Else Matters on the soundtrack.
The audience reaction makes it even more moving, I find - as foreigners we're not privy to the significance of the song lyrics, for example, but we can see how the whole performance affects the viewers there.
I have a good friend who is from the Ukraine. I plan to send him this link and ask for his thoughts on it (if he's not already familiar with her work.)
I had not seen that before. Thanks for posting it.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing blend of art, animation and performance.
Very moving.
It's incredible, isn't it? You watch transifxed.
ReplyDeleteShe's just so fast and so dexterous!

Yes, the audience reaction told a story too...

That is absolutely amazing - I've never seen anything like it before. It's sort of like a grown-up version of finger painting, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteVery cool.
Wow that was beautiful..thanks for sharing. Just loved the fluidity and use of music (Apocalyptica at 6.18 :-) )
ReplyDeleteMay we claim our bonus point please? Trying to figure out what Ты всиба рядoм means...
ReplyDeleteBeth - some of the comments on youtube said the words at the end translate roughly as "I will always be near"
ReplyDeleteCool!
